Angel La Canfora was born in Los Angeles and raised in Huntington Beach, California. After having lived all over the U.S. and U.K. - including a year spent living alone in a rustic cabin in the mountains - she is currently back residing in L.A.
Angel is a folk-pop singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist with dozens of original recordings available on Spotify and iTunes. She has played bass in bands and performed solo around the U.S. and the U.K.
In 2007 Angel developed an interest in mosaic art. Within a couple of years, she was exhibiting her fine art mosaics in galleries, restaurants and art walks and selling her work online.
A lifelong poet, Angel has had a number of poems published in literary journals over the years. She has been a winner in writing contests sponsored by Writer's Digest and Grey Sparrow press. In 2014, she appeared at the Vegas Valley Book Festival, where she performed her music and read her poetry.
In 2010, Angel's interest in landscape photography started to blossom. She was a winner in the 2012 Washington Post travel photo contest and has had her photos featured in magazines, calendars and newspapers. She is also a stock photo contributor to Shutterstock, Alamy and Dreamstime.
Angel's an essayist/blogger. Her work has been featured in a number of online magazines such as Obscure Sound, Positively Vegas and the Mighty.
Over the course of her life she's written a number of short stories which she thinks she may one day attempt to publish when she's feeling a little braver.
Angel is a lifelong vegetarian, divorced, with two cats, Harold and Mod, which is also her favorite film. If you haven't seen it, she thinks you really should.
